Our process starts by taking the time to understand you, your project goals and your dreams. At Hayley & Co., we are intimately involved in each phase of your project - from space planning, budget estimation, design concepts, construction documents to final installation.
STEP ONE
CONSULTATION
We begin each project with a brief discovery phone call to discuss your plans for the project. From there, we schedule an on-site consultation to discuss your vision, style preferences, and how you hope to function and move within your space. This session includes an in-depth look at your current space to determine what is and isn’t working for you. We fully evaluate what is MOST important to you and understand the desired aesthetic.
STEP TWO
PROPOSAL & CONTRACTING
After our on-site consultation, we take all the information captured and prepare a project proposal outlining the specific areas for your review. Upon approval, we sign the agreement, the retainer is received to secure your place on our project calendar, and we get to work.
STEP THREE
CONCEPT DESIGN
We are ready to dive into your project! We start with a "Deep Dive" review to fully identify the true design intent. Your design team starts with preliminary plans, FF&E selections, and budget review. We also meet with contractors, any necessary trades, analyze architectural drawings, measure your space, and more. This allows us to have a comprehensive foundation to work from to build your project.
STEP FOUR
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
Concepts and plans are approved - we work our magic. We refine selections based on Design Concept to include furniture selections, fabrics, light fixtures, paint colors, wallpaper, plumbing fixtures, tile, and more. Together we make final selections, and then our team prepares a design package for approval. We require every item is approved prior to purchasing.

STEP FIVE
PROCUREMENT
Once all items and materials are finalized and approved, our team prepares the construction package - copies are distributed to your construction team to properly communicate the design intentions and project specifications. We are now ready to order, track, and receive.
STEP SIX
PROJECT MANAGEMENT & ADMINISTRATION
Your construction has kicked off. Throughout the process, our team is intimately involved in making sure the project is completed as specified. We are equipped to oversee the entire project every step of the way. Problems arise along the way - no worries - we take on the work, so you don’t have to. Your design team is with you until the very end.
